Ashley spoke candidly about the matter during her guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Monday, May 25, where she also shared her current perspective on her past relationship and personal life.

Ashley was directly asked about how she feels regarding the circulating rumors involving Mark and Kathryn. Rather than expressing discomfort, Ashley chose to respond calmly and respectfully, emphasizing her admiration for Kathryn as a fellow actress in the industry.

Explaining her thoughts about Kathryn, Ashley first highlighted her respect for her craft and success. She then expressed a lighthearted reaction to the idea of Mark being linked to someone she considers an inspiration in acting.

“Syempre si Kathryn kasi, I idolize her as an actress. So parang, oh wow, ang swerte naman ni Mark nakakuha siya ng Kathryn Bernardo,” Ashley said.

Ashley also made it clear that she harbors no negative feelings and instead wishes the best for both Mark and Kathryn. She noted that enough time has already passed since her breakup with Mark, and she sees no reason to hold on to any lingering resentment regarding his personal life.

“I’m just happy for them kasi it’s been years na rin and finally, nakahanap na siya ng mabuting decent girl. So I’m happy for the both of them,” she said.

Ashley also addressed the current state of her relationship with Mark. She clarified that after their breakup, they did not maintain contact or continue any form of friendship. According to her, their paths simply did not cross again following their separation.

“I don’t think we’re friends anymore kasi ever since nung nag-break kami, we never saw each other na eh,” she said.

“It was mutual and ayun lang talaga, we just never bump into each other,” she shared. “Siguro if dumating ‘yung time na we’re gonna bump into each other, of course I’m gonna say hi.”

Ashley and Mark were previously in a relationship that lasted until 2022. At present, she is in a relationship with Kapuso actor Mavy Legaspi.
