According to the actress, constantly portraying emotionally intense scenes in films and television projects eventually affected her mental well-being.
She explained that the emotional burden of repeatedly stepping into traumatic situations onscreen can deeply affect actors behind the scenes.

The actress also admitted that despite being surrounded by successful projects and positive people, she still experienced feelings of emptiness and emotional confusion.
Angelica further revealed that she once confided in fellow actor John Prats because she no longer recognized herself.
Iyak ako nang iyak,” she said emotionally.

The actress also reflected on the stigma surrounding mental health during the earlier years of her career.
“Noon, kapag sinabi mong you need help, sasabihin ng mga tao baliw ka, maluwag na ‘yung turnilyo sa utak mo, kaya mo ‘yan, toughen up. So naalala ko nung nanghingi ako ng ganu’ng help, ganu’n ’yung binalik sa akin,” she shared.
Angelica admitted she was surprised to discover that success alone could not automatically bring fulfillment or peace.
