The issue stemmed from an episode of the talk show “Matteo G. Prime” on Bilyonaryo, where Matteo repeatedly asked Erwan about whether he ever felt jealous seeing his wife, Anne Curtis, paired romantically with male actors in films and television projects.
Several clips from the interview quickly circulated online, with some netizens criticizing Matteo for seemingly struggling to believe that Erwan was genuinely unbothered by Anne’s intimate scenes and love team pairings on screen, as he repeatedly asked Erwan about the topic.
Because of the online reactions, Matteo later took to X to clarify his side and remind viewers about his role in the interview.

“Guys just a reminder, I’m the host here. Im delivering the questions and maneuver the conversation. Just please enjoy the entertainment!” Matteo wrote.
The actor-host’s statement quickly gained attention online, with supporters defending him and pointing out that asking probing questions is part of a host’s responsibility during interviews.
During the now-viral conversation, Erwan openly shared that he has long accepted Anne’s profession and understood the nature of her work even before they became a couple.
“Totally fine. I met Anne she was already doing all these movies,” Erwan explained during the interview.
The restaurateur and content creator also amused viewers after recalling a funny moment involving Anne’s 2011 romantic drama film Thelma co-star Jericho Rosales in another project referenced during the interview.
Erwan recounted how he jokingly warned his staff during a block screening involving one of Anne’s romantic scenes.
“I told my whole staff before the movie started. I said, if during the kiss scene, ‘cause I know there’s a love scene here between Anne and Jericho, if anyone looks at me during this scene, you’re fired,” Erwan shared humorously.
