Bea said that Meray initially showed willingness to take responsibility as the father of their child, though she had expected a different outcome after their breakup.

“Yes. At first naman Tito Boy, he was really willing. He was really willing. Okay, again, never ko pa na-release 'to pero nakipag-break ako, inexpect ko na hahabulin niya ko kase siyempre dinadala ko ‘yung anak niya.”

Bea also alleged that just days after the breakup, she tried to reconnect with Meray out of fear and uncertainty about becoming a single mother.

“And then three days after na nag-break kami, I was trying, hinahabol ko siya, 'Can we fix this?'. Parang takot na takot akong maging single mom. I'm so scared na maging single mom.”

Bea further recalled feeling hurt when she believed Meray quickly shifted his attention elsewhere despite her condition at the time of carrying their child.

“Tapos biglang ano, may kinausap na siya agad. Sabi niya na, joke. Pero alam mo 'yun? I'm carrying your child pero ganun 'yung ginagawa mo”
