Anne Curtis began her career in the mid-1990s and has since become one of Philippine showbiz’s most recognizable figures. From starring in hit films and teleseryes to co-hosting It’s Showtime and venturing into music, fashion, and business, she has constantly evolved. Through all her reinventions, she has stayed authentic, earning enduring admiration and a strong, lasting presence in the entertainment industry.
Recently, Sheila Suntay, the congressman’s wife, clarified that neither she nor her children condoned her husband’s remarks during the House hearing. She also apologized to Anne and her family, while denying reports that she laughed or showed agreement with him.
Meanwhile, Anne’s legal counsel, Gorriceta Africa Cauton & Saavedra, said the objectifying mention of her name during the hearing was “clearly inappropriate and unacceptable.” They reminded public officials of their responsibility to uphold the dignity of others and stressed that such comments have no place, especially during National Women’s Month.
