During Tuesday’s episode of Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, Sofia admitted that she felt hurt and angered by Aragon’s remarks, especially when they involved her relationship with her biological father, Michael Navarro.
“Nagalit po ako honestly kasi he shouldn’t criticize ‘yung relationship namin ni papa kasi amin ‘yun—amin lang ‘yun. Hindi siya kasali dun even ‘yung mga relationship ng artists with their LGBTQ [children], relationship din nila ‘yun dapat hindi na po natin ginagalaw,” Sofia said.
She stressed that the connection between a parent and their child is deeply personal and should not be publicly judged or used as a point of comparison in discussions about beliefs and family dynamics.

The controversy stemmed from Aragon’s earlier interviews and online statements where he discussed his views on gender, family roles, and parenting, including comments that appeared to question or criticize parents who affirm and support their LGBT children. His remarks sparked widespread debate on social media and drew mixed reactions from the public, celebrities, and religious figures.
Despite the ongoing issue, Sofia has continued to speak about her experiences with honesty, emphasizing respect for individual relationships and the importance of setting boundaries when it comes to deeply personal matters.
Izzy Trazona became widely known as one of the original members of the SexBomb Girls, the dance group that rose to massive popularity through Eat Bulaga. In recent years, she has embraced a more faith-centered path, which she frequently shares together with her husband Alvin. Her eldest child from a previous relationship, Sofia Trazona, is a prominent Filipina transgender woman and drag artist who first drew public attention in 2023 when she launched her drag persona in the Bunganga Battle Royale competition. Since then, Sofia has transitioned from being a content creator online into a strong and visible voice in the local drag community, using her platform to promote self-expression and trans representation.
Earlier, a pastor from Victory Church called on the public to show grace to Alvin Aragon amid the backlash over his statements about the LGBT community. As relayed by Boy Abunda, the pastor explained that Aragon’s convictions are similar to those of many Christians but should always be communicated with compassion. He also pointed out that believers who are still growing in their faith can sometimes become overly intense in expressing their views. The message urging understanding came as public reactions continued to pour in from both supporters and critics.
In another development, Sofia became emotional when she read a heartfelt letter from her biological father, Michael Navarro, during her guest appearance on Fast Talk With Boy Abunda on February 24.
