She shared that taking quiet moments helps her understand what she really feels rather than being pressured by anxiety or outside noise.
To guide herself, Maxene said she now relies on practices that ground her, including meditation, journaling her thoughts, and praying for direction and protection. She added that surrendering to God’s plan has helped her trust that everything is unfolding the way it should.

“I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the difference between reacting and responding. Between choosing from fear vs. choosing from clarity.
Making big life decisions can be quite difficult and daunting. How do you know when you’re making a decision from the right place? I’m learning that the answer usually comes when I get quiet enough to hear it. When I allow myself to feel it.
This year, I’m trusting myself more by tuning in to my inner guide. I meditate to feel if the decision is right for me, write down my thoughts in my journal and pray to God to keep guiding and protecting me. Ultimately, I surrender and trust that everything is going according to God’s plan 🙏🏼
Fear naturally comes but I never allow it to make my decisions for me. Instead, I connect with my heart, align with my values, clarify my intentions and feel what feels right in my soul. After all, love will always be more powerful than fear ❤️🔥”
