Pioneer Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition housemate and Cebuano musician Budoy, known in real life as Errol Marabiles, passed away on December 4 in his hometown of Oslob, Cebu. He was 54.

News of his passing was confirmed through a Facebook post by Sigbin Haus, a live music venue in Santander, Cebu, which Budoy co-founded with his friend Dennis Pettersen. In the heartfelt announcement, Dennis shared the shock and grief of losing a longtime partner and confidant. “It is with a heavy heart I write this,” he emotionally wrote.
“Today at 3pm my partner at Sigbinhaus and best friend for almost 20 year, Errol 'Budoy' Marabiles, suddenly left us,” he continued.
Dennis added that although countless memories came to mind, the weight of the loss was overwhelming.

“I could write a ton about our good memories, but right now, I feel just so empty and lonely.”
The announcement prompted an outpouring of condolences from fans, fellow musicians, and supporters of Cebuano arts who remembered Budoy as a cultural trailblazer.
Budoy was best known as the frontman of the Cebu-based reggae band Junior Kilat, a group celebrated for its Bisaya anthems and its influence on the local reggae scene. He also gained nationwide recognition after joining the inaugural PBB Celebrity Edition in 2006, where he entered the house alongside other Cebuano housemates, including eventual big winner Keanna Reeves.
