Mexico’s Fátima Bosch was crowned Miss Universe 2025 during the 74th edition of the global pageant held in Thailand on Friday, November 21. The Philippines’ representative, Ahtisa Manalo, delivered a strong performance throughout the competition and secured a spot as 3rd Runner-Up.

Rounding out the Top 5 were Thailand’s Praveenar Singh as 1st Runner-Up, Venezuela’s Stephany Abasali as 2nd Runner-Up, and Côte d’Ivoire’s Olivia Yacé as 4th Runner-Up. Each of the finalists impressed the selection committee, particularly during the event’s second Question and Answer round, where all candidates were given the same question: “If you win the title of this universe tonight, how would you use this platform to empower young girls?”

Bosch earned applause for her message of self-worth and authenticity. She responded, “As Miss Universe, I will say to them, believe in the power of your authenticity. Believe in yourself, your dreams matter, your heart matters. And never let anyone make you doubt about your worth, because you are everything. And you are powerful, and your voice needs to be heard. Thank you.”

Meanwhile, Ahtisa Manalo impressed viewers with her advocacy-centered answer. She shared, “I work with an organization called Alon Akademie where we work with young people to provide them opportunities, to make them realize that it doesn’t matter what your life circumstances is, it doesn’t define where you will go. And I want to continue working with Alon Akademie in a bigger platform like Miss Universe to pursue making sure that people who come from low income backgrounds are given the same opportunities as everyone else. Thank you.”

Bosch’s win marks another strong showing for Mexico in the Miss Universe stage, while Manalo continues the Philippines’ tradition of placing in the competition’s highest ranks.

In a previous report, Ahtisa Manalo, the newly crowned Miss Universe PH 2025, slipped and fell during the evening gown competition, causing a brief moment of tension in the venue. Despite the mishap, Ahtisa stood up quickly, smiled confidently, and continued her walk with poise and elegance.

In other news, before the pageant, Miss Mexico Fátima Bosch walked out of the hall after being scolded by Nawat Itsaragrisil in front of the candidates. Following this, several candidates from Latin America and other countries also followed and staged a walkout. The incident happened during the sashing ceremony of Miss Universe 2025 in Bangkok.
