In a video showing him working out at the gym, the musician admitted in the caption that even after ten years of quitting smoking, he still feels tempted but chooses not to give in. He also talked about cutting down on alcohol, sugary drinks, and unhealthy food while prioritizing regular exercise, discipline, and rest for the sake of his family.
Miranda emphasized that his motivation to stay healthy comes from love and responsibility toward his loved ones, especially as he approaches 50. He reminded followers that discipline and self-control are key to overcoming vices, writing that people lose only when they start believing they can’t change. “Hanggang ngayon, 10 years after ko mag-quit, nate-tempt pa rin ako mag-yosi. Pero di ko ginagawa…kahit gaano ko ka-gusto.
Minsan, tinatamad ako mag-exercise, mag-gym, or mag-walking. Pero ginagawa ko pa rin…kahit wala ako sa mood.
Binawasan ko din ang alak, sugary drinks at mga unhealthy na pagkain, and started eating healthy.
Eto yung mga sacrifices na kelangan ko gawin para maging mas healthy, lalo na’t magfi-50 na ko sa Feb…hindi lang para sa sarili, kundi para sa mga mahal ko sa buhay.
Ayokong iwan ng maaga ang pamilya ko dahil sa sarili kong kagagawan…dahil sa kawalan ko ng disiplina
