“Sana magawa na lahat ng dapat gumawa ng paraan. Para hindi na maulit. Sa amin, hindi naman binaha. Pero it is the first time nangyari sa amin sa Cebu nagka ganoon kalalang baha. And sino nanaman sisihin natin?” she said, urging authorities to take action and prevent future disasters.

Kim has long been vocal about corruption and inefficiency among some political leaders in the Philippines, often using her platform to call for transparency and accountability.

Her reaction also comes amid the controversy surrounding the government’s flood-control projects, which have been under scrutiny for alleged anomalies, overpricing, and poor implementation. Critics and watchdogs have claimed that billions of pesos allocated for drainage and prevention systems failed to deliver meaningful protection, raising urgent questions about where the money went and who should be held responsible.
