Dra. Vicki Belo traded her usual luxury ride for a public train ride as she hopped on the MRT for the first time on Tuesday, October 28. The celebrity dermatologist documented the rare moment on Instagram as she made her way to the SMART Araneta Coliseum to watch Morissette Amon’s concert.

Vicki explained that heavy traffic along EDSA pushed her to try using the train system for the first time. Determined not to miss the start of Morissette’s performance, the 69-year-old doctor headed to the nearest MRT station and boarded the priority coach meant for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and other passengers needing assistance.

In the video, Vicki looked pleasantly surprised at how convenient and fast the commute was. She shared that riding the MRT allowed her to move through the city quicker than expected, avoiding the gridlock that often slows down motorists.

Her caption read, “First time to ride the MRT! Mas mabilis nga ang MRT compared to a Ferrari in Metro Manila!!!!!! Made it to @itsmorissette to see her shine,” which immediately caught the attention of netizens.

Vicki eventually made it to the concert venue as planned and proudly shared that she did not miss Morissette’s performance.

Her post earned thousands of likes within hours, with viewers commenting that her journey to the concert was just as entertaining as the concert itself.
