Anthony Taberna reacts to Pinky Amador’s viral Ka Tunying post

Broadcaster Anthony “Ka Tunying” Taberna responded to actress Pinky Amador’s viral video where she appeared to take a swipe at him. In the video, Amador could be seen walking toward a Ka Tunying’s kiosk while saying, “Bibili sana ako ng fake news.” In her caption, she reminded followers to be careful about misinformation, saying, “Ingat po tayong lahat sa mga papapakin natin. Maging mapanuri sa mga balita, iwasan ang pagpapakalat ng maling impormasyon.”

Taberna, in a Facebook post, hit back with humor, writing, “Ma’am Pinky Amador, wala pong fake news sa amin. Pero try nyo po ang MALUTONG na MURA pa na rice crackers.”

The veteran broadcaster recently made headlines after his alleged past endorsements of Stronghold Insurance Company Inc. resurfaced — a firm reportedly linked to the controversial DPWH contractors Sarah and Curlee Discaya. Stronghold denied any connection to the couple, saying it was “not privy” to their government contracts. Taberna also drew attention after claiming in a vlog that Senator Risa Hontiveros made budget insertions for infrastructure projects, a claim the senator has since denied.

According to Pinky, she has nothing against OFWs but argued that the tenants should have been made aware of the travel history of the OFWs to protect their health.
