The moment took place in the program’s “Laro Laro Pick” segment, where one of the participants, Ronron, narrated that he began working as a porter to provide for his family. Vice Ganda praised him and others like him, highlighting the dignity of choosing honest work despite financial hardship.

The Unkabogable Phenomenal Superstar then addressed the broader issue of corruption, condemning politicians and government officials who allegedly misuse public funds.

“Ito ‘yong mga taong ninanakawan natin. Ang korapsyon ay hindi lamang pagnanakaw ng salapi ng bayan, ito’y pagnanakaw ng pag-asa. Ito ay pagnanakaw ng pangarap. Ito ay pagnanakaw ng magandang posibilidad,” Vice Ganda said.

He underscored how corruption leads to the loss of lives and deprives people of crucial opportunities.

“At maraming tao na ang namatay dahil sa pagnanakaw niyo ng pondo ng bayan. Maraming mga magulang ang hindi nakapagdala sa mga ospital ng kanilang may mga sakit na anak dahil sa korapsyon. Maraming matatanda ang hindi naagapan ang sakit dahil sa korapsyon. Maraming bahay ang nasira at nabagsakan dahil sa korapsyon. Maraming asawa ang naghiwalay dahil sa problema ng kahirapan.”

The comedian concluded his message with powerful words that drew applause from the studio audience: “Kaya hindi lang pera ang ninanakaw ninyo, [kundi] buhay.”

Vice Ganda also reminded Ronron and the viewers that accountability rests in the hands of the people during elections.
