Maris Racal reached out to her fans following the announcement that she will no longer be able to perform at the upcoming Mabuhay Philippine Festival in Toronto, Canada.

The actress-singer was originally set to take part in the festivities on August 23 at Nathan Philips Square, but organizers released a statement through TFC confirming the cancellation. According to the advisory, Maris’ absence is due to a health-related emergency.
“We regret to inform you that Maris Racal will not be able to perform at the Mabuhay Philippine Festival on August 23 at the Nathan Philips Square, Toronto Canada due to health related emergency. We are hoping for your kind understanding on this matter. Thank you and enjoy the festivities, Kapamilya!” the official announcement read.
Earlier, Maris revealed that she underwent surgery for appendicitis, which explains why she is currently not cleared to travel.

Shortly after the advisory was released, Maris took to social media to directly address her fans, expressing her regret over missing the much-anticipated event. In her Instagram Story, she wrote:
“Sorry, I won’t be able to go for now. Hindi pa po ako allowed to travel. But I’ll be back in Canada very soon for ASAP! Hope to see you all there!”
