Julius Babao and his wife, Christine Bersola-Babao, visited the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Center to personally say goodbye to the building and its Millennium Transmitter.

In a heartfelt farewell post, Julius shared photos of them posing before the iconic tower and the broadcasting center.
It is worth noting that the building and its historic tower are set to be demolished following the sale of a portion of the media company’s property in Quezon City to Ayala Land Inc.
Along with the snaps, Julis paid tribute to the tower and the media company.

“The ABS-CBN TOWER. A symbol of strength & freedom for many Filipinos,” he began his post.
“This tower withstood the test of time. This Tower helped bring to your homes stories of victories & failures, Tragedies and historical achievements, love and heartbreak and many more.”
The Kapatid broadcast journalist went on to recount the meaningful milestones he unlocked when he was still a Kapamilya.
“But for me ABS-CBN was not just a place of work. It was our home and our refuge for 28 years. This is where I was honed as a journalist and as a host. I became a household name because of ABS-CBN. But most important of all. This is where I met my wife.”
He earnestly continued, “As I bid goodbye to our old building and its tower, I honor ABS-CBN.”
“Thank you for giving me an unforgettable & remarkable life. It was an amazing ride!” Julius added, reflecting on his eventful years with the media giant.

ABS-CBN is one of the leading media companies in the Philippines. Its 25-year franchise expired on May 4, 2020 and the Committee on Legislative Franchises of the House of Representatives officially rejected on July 10 its bid to secure another franchise.

She shared a carousel post showing Kapamilya celebrities, employees, and bosses gathering at the ABS-CBN compound In the caption, the news anchor honored the media company and its Millennium Transmitter She also opened up that saying goodbye to the iconic tower truly breaks her heart.
