Veteran performer Gary Valenciano took to social media today to greet his son, Gab Valenciano, a heartfelt happy birthday as he turned 37 years old. Alongside touching words, Gary shared a series of photos of him and Gab through the years—onstage, on bikes, and spending quiet moments at home—offering a glimpse into their close bond.

“Happy birthday to a son I miss so much. These pics are only slices of the amazing moments I have you either on stage, on a bike, or just at home…I do find myself wishing we could be together more. But I also know God has plans specifically designed for you son. And if these God ordained plans are to keep you away for a while then so be it.”

The emotional message revealed how much the singer longs for more time with Gab but also his deep faith that distance is part of a greater purpose for his son’s journey.

“‘Never Give Up On A Good Thing’…I thought of you son…I know there will be many more good things to come your way. Be patient and hopeful even if when it seems like things aren’t going as planned. Maybe God just wants you to wholeheartedly trust Him as He prepares you to carry out His plan.”
