Ryza revealed that her first attempt happened when she was around 17 years old, during the early days of her showbiz career. At that time, she was living independently.

Desperate for a sign to stop, she called her older brother and prayed to God, promising that if he answered, she would abandon her attempt. Thankfully, her brother picked up. Overwhelmed with emotions, Ryza burst into tears and repeatedly apologized to both her brother and to God.
Years later, Ryza faced another dark period after giving birth to her son, Night. She struggled with postpartum depression, made even more difficult by the isolation of the lockdown and the absence of her partner, Miguel Antonio Cruz, who had to be away for work. Ryza admitted feeling completely alone, especially since she lost her mother as a toddler.
Walang ganoon,” she shared.
Ryza also opened up about her ongoing battle with intrusive thoughts.
Despite her struggles, Ryza’s courage in sharing her story sheds light on the silent battles many face and serves as a reminder of the importance of seeking help and support. Her passion for painting and her commitment as a wife and mother have helped her get through her mental hurdles.
