Raquel Pempengco, the mother of singer Jake Zyrus, has taken to social media to respond to critics amid the renewed controversy surrounding her son’s alleged past experiences, detailed in the book “I Am Jake”

In a Facebook post, Raquel issued a cryptic warning, writing:
“Pag ako ang nagsalita talagang totoo, walang halong showbiz kaya wag nio ko pilitin… Lalabas ang katotohanan sa likod ng puno ng kasinungalingan.”
She also included a prayer in her post, expressing gratitude despite the backlash, as well as praying for the safety of her online critics:
