Miss Cainta Stacey Gabriele came close to winning the 2024 Miss Universe Philippines pageant, ending up the first runner-up. Chelsea Manalo of Bulacan took the title and will represent the Philippines in the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in Mexico.

Stacey shared in the caption that she wanted to honor her mother in her performance, crediting her mom for lifting her to new heights. According to Stacey, there is nothing wrong with getting heartbroken over not reaching her ultimate goal of becoming Miss Universe Philippines. Nonetheless, Stacey is grateful for what she achieved and promised to do her duties as first runner-up. Furthermore, she expressed her support for Chelsea.

“I stepped into this journey with the promise of honoring the women who came before me – particularly my mother, who, at 20-years-old and against all odds, sacrificed her own dreams so she could raise me to reach mine. All my life, I have stood on her shoulders as she lifts me to new heights.
“That morning, we held each other in prayer knowing that the battle is not ours, but the battle belongs to the Lord. I am grateful beyond measure to be your 1st Runner-Up and will carry out my duties to His purpose, but I also know that it’s okay to be heartbroken over the shared dream that was within reach, but simply not for me last night. It was, instead, meant for a beautiful woman who will carry the stories of all 53 incredible delegates with her to Mexico. I pray for your success, Chelsea.

Chelsea Manalo is a beauty queen and model from Bulacan. She rose to fame after winning the 2024 Miss Universe Philippines pageant, where over 50 contestants competed. She will represent the country at the upcoming Miss Universe pageant in Mexico.
