Mayor Cristy Angeles is the current mayor of Tarlac. The said city is the home province of the late Senator Ninoy Aquino.

Tarlac City Mayor Cristy Angeles issued a statement concerning the monument of Ninoy. The said monument in Tarlac was blocked by a tent and was placed so close it. Many clamored on social media, and said that they felt disrespected by such an act. Angeles said, "pabayaan na ang mga bumabatikos," and she also said that it is time for forgiveness and healing.

The daughter of Mayor Cristy Angeles, Anvi Angeles, took to Facebook and Instagram and called out Kris Aquino. This came after Kris, without dropping names, stated that she is really pissed off by people who has no "debt of gratitude" or "utang na loob." Anvi asked Kris what was the "utang na loob" of their family that Kris was saying. She also added that Kris maliciously accused her mom in public and that she cannot let Krissy's lies and intrigues malign her mother.
