Rica Peralejo took to social media to explain her decision to give her full support to presidential candidate Leni Robredo.

Furthermore, the actress praised Leni for not giving into hate despite constantly getting bashed by her detractors.

She also commended her fellow volunteers who are helping Leni campaign without expecting any monetary reward.
“Naisip ko kahapon, bakit ko ba siya gusto? As in gustong gusto?
“Then narealize ko na noong 2020 nawalan na ngapala ako ng pagasa para sa bansa ko. Ayoko na maging Pilipino noon. Tapos nung nadidinig ko na naman ang mga ginagawa nya natutuwa ako atsaka lalo pa nung sinabing tatakbo siya para sa pagka-pangulo ng Pilipinas.
“Sa usap kasi namin ang nakita ko talaga ay taong nagsakripisyo para sa atin na minsan ang naiisip ko nalang ay para na lamang sa kanya ay bubuhayin ko ang laban sa puso ko.
“Ang hindi ko inexpect ay yung dami natin na gustong gumawa nito. Tuwing nakikita ko at nakakasama ang volunteers, naiiyak ako na may mga natitira pa palang ganitong Pilipino. Mga Pilipinong worth fighting for and hoping for!
“At tuwing naalala kong wala kami lahat bayad at purong donation of efforts and skills and talents lang talaga ang lahat ng ito, lalo akong nabubuhayan ng loob.
“May pagasa pa pala ang bayan ko. Maraming salamat @bise_leni for believing in us even when you’ve been treated so poorly by your detractors. And unconditional mo kumpara sakin, and that makes you the most fitting president for me.
“Yes, napakaraming rason kung bakit dapat ikaw pero dahil sa attitude mo na ‘dapat kayo’ ang mauna kaysa sa feelings, fairness, justice, na you deserve anyway, ang pinaka nagkumbinsi sa akin na ikaw nga lang talaga. Natatangi.
“Rooting for the 17th president of the Philippines. Thank you po for inspiring me and bringing back my love for the nation all over again,” Rica posted on Instagram.
