Gretchen Barretto vehemently denied that her business partner Atong Ang criticized presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos.

She was referring to the fake Atong Ang quote that surfaced online about online sabong being more reliable than voting for Marcos.
According to Barretto, her business partner never meddles in politics, and that the fake quote was spread by a business rival. However, she did not specify the name of the business rival she is suspecting of spreading the fake news.
She added that Ang will release a statement later to make it clear that he did not criticize Marcos. Every election in the Philippines, fake news and quotes about politicians are usually spread on social media to misinform the public.

Gretchen Barretto is a well-known actress in the Philippines and the sister of actors Claudine and Marjorie Barretto. She has been in a relationship with tycoon Tonyboy Cojuangco for almost three decades now but the latter is still legally married to Denise Yabut, his first wife. They have a daughter named Dominique Cojuangco.
In a previous report by KAMI, Gretchen’s daughter Dominique made her parents proud with her great achievement. Dominique earned her second degree, Merchandising and Marketing, and graduated with flying colors at a California-based school.
The veteran actress also went viral after pictures of her niece, Julia Barretto, and Bea Alonzo were compared online. Gretchen shocked netizens when she said that she preferred Bea’s photo. Gretchen is in an ongoing conflict with Julia’s mom, Marjorie.
