One of the main goals of Arjo Atayde if elected as congressman is the renewal of the franchise of ABS-CBN.
According to Sylvia Sanchez, the mother of Arjo, this was among the reasons why the actor decided to seek an elective position in the coming elections.
During a virtual conference, Sylvia said that Arjo had always wanted to be in politics since high school, though she did not approve of the idea.

However, when Arjo explained to her why he wanted to run as congressman, she experienced a change of heart.
She also said that one of the primary goals of Arjo should he become successful in his bid for congress is the renewal of the franchise of ABS-CBN.
“Yes, because of ABS.
The veteran actress said that now, she fully supports the political aspirations of her son because she can see his sincere motive to help.
