Security guard caught in the act of robbing his own bank in Laguna, arrested

After trying to rob the bank he’s guarding, Romeo Dimaano, 34 years old was caught in the act of his crime and arrested by the police.
In a report by GMA News Balitanghali, the security guard tried to rob Prestige Bank in Sta. Rosa City around 9:17 in the morning. Despite being the guard and supposedly in-charge for the safety of the bank, he attempted to steal from it.

According to the chief of Sta. Rosa City police, they were able to get a report of the crime past 9:00 AM. Further, during the crime, the witnesses exclaimed that the guard just declared that he’s trying to hold-up the bank and ordered the staff to put all money in the bag that he brought.
The police force acted immediately upon the notice of misconduct and was able to prevent Dimaano from getting away. The suspect’s gun and money he was about to steal was recovered from him.

He is now being investigated if there are others involved in his failed crime attempt.
Romeo Dimaano had been part of his agency for over two years. He had been working for the bank for almost five months before his attempt to rob it. According to his agency, their employee has no crime record before this act.
