Raffy Tulfo had a bigamy case filed against him by a woman named Julieta Nacpil Licup.

Licup is claiming that he is the first wife of Tulfo, as reported by the Philippine Daily Inquirer (authored by Neil Arwin Mercado).

According to Licup’s complaint, she got married to Tulfo on October 25, 1982. Tulfo then married Jocelyn Pua on January 20, 1995.

Licup alleged that her marriage to Tulfo never got annulled, which would mean that his marriage to Pua is invalid.

“Bigamy happens if you enter into another marriage with another person while your first marriage is still subsisting without acquiring a judicial declaration declaring the said first marriage null and void or through annulment.

“In this case, there was no annulment, there was no nullity of marriage. So at the time that Mr. Raffy Tulfo entered into a second marriage, his first marriage is still subsisting,” Atty. Lifrendo Gonzales, the complainant’s lawyer, told Inquirer.
