JM de Guzman commented on the government’s plan to subject celebrities to drug testing.

According to the Kapamilya actor, celebrities have a social responsibility to set an example in the country’s efforts to get rid of illegal substances.

However, he also mentioned that the fight against drug use should be a “two-way street.”

As a former substance abuser, JM said that drug users take those substances because they have gone through tough moments in their life.

During his press conference for his new film “Last Fool Show,” he said: “Tatlong taon po akong na sa loob ng rehab.

JM pleaded for the government to treat drug users fairly.

But this doesn’t mean that JM is against the government’s efforts. The actor then said that he is willing to undergo drug testing “anytime, anywhere.”

JM de Guzman admitted in 2014 that he went into rehab due to drug abuse.
