Two of the most reputable singers in the showbiz industry today instantly became the subjects of public interest because of a scene that made everyone reeling.
KAMI learned that the Megastar Sharon Cuneta gave an expensive gift to her friend Regine Velasquez during the latter’s concert on November 24.
The former Bituing Walang Ningning star handed over a diamond ring to the Asia’s Songbird when they collaborated for a song performance.
The price of the said accessory was not revealed during the concert but PEP.ph had the chance to talk to its jeweler.
In a short interview, Candy Dizon of Jul B. Dizon jewelry initially expressed that Sharon told her of the importance of Regine to her life.
She also emphasized that the luxurious diamond ring was the personal request of the Megastar which she based on a hit Hollywood movie.
"We were chatting about how much she loves and treasures the ring, but her love for Regine is more important than material things," Candy quipped.
"Sharon came to me and asked me to make a ring for her that she saw in [a] movie. It’s a huge flower ring that is worn on two fingers instead of the regular one,” she added.

However, the jeweler admitted that she needed to put her own touches in it to make the expensive accessory unique.
She even revealed how hard it was to make the ring and the mind-boggling materials that she used to form it.
"I said that I would have to make slight changes on the design so that there’s still a sense of uniqueness to it,” Candy stressed.
"It is made up of more than 8 carats of very good quality diamonds and set in 18 karat white gold. It took us 30 days to complete the ring due to minor revisions that Sharon and I agreed half way through production,” she added.
In the end, Candy disclosed that the price of the diamond ring that Sharon gave to Regine is nearly a million pesos.
