Janella Salvador broke her silence regarding the issue involving her erstwhile screen partner Elmo Magalona who according to rumor-mongers hurt her during an altercation.

The actress stressed that she is speaking not because she wanted to revenge or to destroy her former screen partner.

It was a month ago when rumors about Elmo hurting Janella circulated online.

In a report by Inquirer, Janella revealed that they tried to sort things out with their managers at Star Magic. Although Elmo said he was going to acknowledge the issue, no public statement was made and it was hard for Janella.

The actress could not accept that the problem was not taken seriously as if it did not happened.

“I don’t like [the perception] that there was a cover-up. He was being stopped from owning up to his mistake," she said.

Janella recounted what transpired between them. They attended a party and had a fight. According to Janella that was the “second time” he had laid a hand on her.

She forgave him at first to protect him.

“But then, it happened again,” she revealed. They both had a drink in the party.

“But I wasn’t drunk nor wasted that time.”

She fought back because she felt disrespected, "I slapped him.”

KAMI also learned that Janella was seeing a psychologist because of what happened.

“I had seen other doctors in the past for other reasons,” she admitted.

“Girls and boys need to know that it’s normal to have problems, to have mental health issues—especially with … exposure to social media, with bashing and bullying. Victim-blaming is very rampant.

“People should not be afraid to open up and seek professional help. It will help you a lot. It will help you understand yourself more and see life in a [positive] light.”

Janella Salvador debuted in the hit series Be Careful With My Heart and starred in Oh My G! , Haunted Mansion , Born for You and So Connected.

Her parents are Jenine Desiderio,Miss Saigon in 1992 and Juan Miguel Salvador, the lead singer of 80s group, Rage Band.
