Known to be the rebel and wild son, Sebastian “Baste” Duterte is the youngest son of President Rodrigo Duterte with Elizabeth Zimmerman. Ever since then, Baste was seen as the ‘bad boy’ of the family with all his tattoos and lip piercing yet he is the most “malambing”, at least when he was younger.

He is a surfer and a vocalist. He was also involved in many controversies years ago, most especially when he had a short-term relationship with celebrity Ellen Adarna.

KAMI has learned that Baste Duterte became a father at the age of 22 with his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Basilio. They have an 8-year-old daughter, Bella Duterte. Baste also has a 4-year-old son, Yair, with his long-term partner, Davao-based model Kate Necessario.

Things about Baste heated up went photos and videos of him with Elle went around social media. In a report by ABS-CBN, Ellen Adarna has confirmed his relationship with Baste when she revealed they broke up over a ‘weird’ text message in December 2016. According to the actress, Baste started to court her after the President took his oath in 2016. Ellen said that she had accepted it and that they have remained friends.

Through a Facebook comment in February 2017, Baste revealed that he never broke up with his long-term girlfriend despite the relationship with Ellen. He even said that was why he called it quits with Ellen because she could not stand it anymore.

However, in June 2017, a video of ex couple Ellen and Baste kissing in public went viral on social media.

Ellen explained that it was ‘friendly’ and they just did it for a ‘show’. She also reiterated how they have remained close friends to do that.

“That was nothing! Okay, he’s my ex-boyfriend. We’re still friends, we still talk, but wala na talaga,” Ellen said to Philippine Star.

Now, Ellen is in a happy relationship with actor John Llyod Cruz and they already have a baby. The question is, how is Baste doing after his controversial relationship with Ellen?

For starters, in June 2018, Baste has finally let go of his long hair and man bun. Celebrity hairdresser Jing Monis had the privilege to pull off Baste’s new look.

“He was ready to let go—as if it was the end of his long-hair era,” Monis said.

Baste has remained to be an endorser.

Music

Looks like Baste never loses his love for music.

Family

Despite his bad boy image, Baste still has a soft spot for his father. In an interview by Manilla Bulletin in June 2018, Baste did not hold any bars to show his feelings towards him.

“I love him,” he said as his Father’s day greeting to the President.

Baste along with his family were seen reunited to celebrate his daughter’s 8th birthday last July 2018.

Politics

Baste has also been supporting his sister Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte’s party, Hugpong ng Pagbabago (HNP) last August 2018.

However, Baste cleared that he does not want to enter politics. In an exclusive interview with PEP, he said, “I have no political plans.. Hindi naman that I don’t consider because I need to plan things out, pero yung inclination ko, hindi talaga doon papunta.”

"As much sa possible, gusto ko talaga iwasan, kasi wala, e, magulo,” he added.

His comment regarding Ellen Adarna and John Lloyd Cruz’s relationship

Baste broke his silence regarding the relationship of Ellen Adarna and John Lloyd. As reported by PEP, he said that Ellen’s happiness is important.

“Kung masaya siya, okay na ako doon.

“Nangyari lang talaga ‘yun. Ewan ko… Alam mo ‘yung buhay, kapag nangyari na, nangyari na,” Baste added.
