Another Filipino was spotted in Hollywood film ‘Crazy Rich Asians’

“Crazy Rich Asian” has been making history in Hollywood now. While Queen of Talk, Kris Aquino and actor Nico Santos were casted in the film, representing Philippines, another Filipino made it in the movie as well.
Actress Junji Delfino was spotted in Crazy Rich Asians as Astrid’s Filipino maid.
A Facebook user (Glenford Kalaw) made a post about this that Junji shared on her Instagram account with a caption, “Someone blew my cover!”
According to the Facebook user,” Guess what? There is actually a 3rd Pinoy in the movie, Crazy Rich Asians and her name is Junji Delfino and she played the role of "Astrid's Maid".
The netizen also made a controversial side comment, “The moment she spoke, her accent was undeniably Filipino (was it intentional to cast a Filipino for the role?)”
Junji shared her happiness on how her name was showed in the credits first before Kris Aquino. She said, “I beat Kris Aquino in credit placement.”
Junji is a Filipino but is now residing in Malaysia. She is known there as Queen of Jazz or Malaysia’s First Lady of Jazz.
The Filipino actress was also a cast in Piolo Pascual’s movie, Ang Panahon ng Halimaw, directed by Lav Diaz.
Crazy Rich Asians is based on the novel by Kevin Kwan. It hit the theaters yesterday, August 22, 2018.
