The shocking similarities of K-pop star Jungyeon and Filipina actress Angel Locsin have taken the internet by storm. Both having Asian features, one can easily mistake them for twins. Angel has won fans all over the world with her “chinita” eyes. Looks like Jungyeon has the same thing going on for herself too.

What are the odds of having a “lookalike”? In a world of genetic diversity, the odds are quite astounding. In fact, you may have already come across someone who might resemble someone you know. And in some cases, you might have also seen someone who looks a lot like yourself .

Dr. Arthur Beaudet, a molecular and human genetics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston through www.livescience.com explains “There’s a huge number of genes that contribute to things like facial structure and, of course, hair, eye and skin color, which are all highly variable”. Celebrities aren’t exempted to this scientific fact.

Born in April 23, 1985, Angelica Locsin Colmenares or Angel Locsin, started her career at a young age. She went on to flourish in different roles both in movies and Tv shows. Taking her skills up a notch, she has now ventured into producing films.

Jungyeon on the other hand is one of the lead vocalist of the K-POP girl group TWICE. She was born on November 01, 1996 in Suwon, Seoul as Yoo Kyung Wan. What she lacks in age, she makes up for her dancing and singing skills. With her dedication to work, it’s no surprise that she’s already made a name for herself.
