From mops to gavels: Former janitress is now a respected judge

It was not an easy transition, but Judge Ave Alba proved all the naysayers wrong now that she puts on robes instead of janitress uniforms, and holds gavels instead of mops.

Dawning from a poor household with 10 children, life was not easy for her, especially when her mother left them to the guidance of their grandfather. Ave took it in her own hands and learned how to start working at a very young age.

After her mother died, she continued studying through high school by living with her teachers. To support her college education, she worked as a janitress.

Presently, Judge Ave serves in her hometown in Daraga, Albay.

"It's hard to be a mother and it's hard to be a father. Can you just imagine how difficult is it for one person to play the role of two?" Anna revealed why being a single parent is the hardest decision has ever made. Know more about this story on KAMI Youtube Channel!
