Now, Filipinos are not the only ones who can enjoy the intensity of Philippine dramas.
One of Thailand's biggest TV companies bought the rights to air The Legal Wife, according to ABS-CBN News.
Apparently, the show's overall theme of the importance of forgiveness and reconciliation is relatable for Thai audiences.
The CEO of JKN Global Media, Anne Jakkraphong Jakrajutatip, said the content of The Legal Wife "resonates with Thai family and culture."
So instead of Tagalog, Angel and Maja will be heard in Thai, as seen in this dubbed trailer.
This development might make Maja a star in Thailand, because her other drama Bridges of Love will also be shown in the country.
According to Jakrajutatip, they like the "intense storyline and the interesting dynamics of the lead roles in the series."
Before being dubbed in Thai, the drama series was also dubbed for Latin America audiences through Peruvian TV station, PanAmericana.
For The Legal Wife, this is the first time that it is dubbed in another language.
The show first aired on Philippine primetime TV in 2014. It ran from January 27 until June 13, 2014.
It was the primetime comeback for Angel Locsin, who last starred in a TV series in 2010 for Imortal.
