Pictures of an 18 year-old Vilma Santos-Recto celebrating her debut were once again seen on the pages of Philippine Star.

It was published once again in the column 'Remember When' of the said newspaper last February 26.

Vilma turned 18 on November 3, 1971, more than 40 years ago.

Her debut was first featured by style magazine on the same year.

Ironically, the woman who made the gown for her lavish party was Sonia Aquino who later served as the Mayor of Lipa City Batangas.

The party was held at the posh Presidential Hall of The Plaza in Makati where A-lister guests attended.

Photos were taken by Bob's while her cake was baked by Joni's.

That time, her favorite leading man was Edgar Mortiz who was also his escort.

Legendary local names like Esperanza Fabon, Eddie Peregrina, and Manuel Elizalde were among her guests.
