Despite their one-month separation in 2016, the couple now have a better and stronger relationship with each other.
In an interview with PEP that time, Eula said she fought to save their relationship.
"Sobrang bait na tao ni Rocky, wala akong maisip na rason para magalit sa kanya. Na first time kong ipinaglaban yung love sa buong buhay ko," said Eula in 2016.
The actress did not share details of the problem she and Rocky had in 2016. But it almost ruined their relationship.
It was after a month of contemplation and consulting friends and family that Eula realized she doesn't want to live without Rocky.
For Rocky's part, the actor-model has said in November 2017 that he plans to marry Eula.
Inquirer quoted Rocky: "As far as marrying her is concerned, I have every intention. I guess the secret to having a happy relationship with her is the fact that we treat each other as equals."
Despite their 12-year age gap, Eula and Rocky are serious couple goals.
Here they are in Rotterdam, Netherlands, where Eula's movie Neomanila is screening at the International Film Festival Rotterdam.
It's also great that their respective children from past relationships, Miguel and Juliana, are fully supportive of their romance.

She is best known for playing Amor Powers in the original Pangako Sa 'Yo TV series in 2000.
Rocky Salumbides was a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up in 2009.
He worked on indie films and won Best Supporting Actor awards for Tarima, Muli, and Piring.
