Claudine Barretto finally breaks her silence on her rescue of gunshot victim: “It was a miracle”

- When she found out that the small hospital does not have the capability to save the man’s life, the actress decided to take action
Actress Claudine Barretto has opened up about rescuing a stranger who sustained a gunshot wound in Marikina.
KAMI learned from ABS-CBN News that Claudine saw the wounded man while she was giving Christmas gifts to her friends at a small hospital.
Since that hospital does not have the proper equipment and facilities to save the man’s life, Claudine decided to take the gunshot victim inside her vehicle and take him to another hospital.
"Nahiya sila kasi puro dugo nga iyong kotse. Pero siyempre, ginawa ko lang naman kung ano iyong gagawin ng kahit sino siguro na nasa posisyon ko.
"It was a miracle. Siguro I was at the right place at the right time…
“Hindi ako natakot sa dugo. Hindi ko alam kung bakit. Ang instant reaction ko was to make sure na kailangan madala agad sa hospital [iyong victim],” she explained.
On March 2006, Claudine got married to actor Raymart Santiago.
However, their marriage was annulled in 2014.
They have two kids – Sabina and Santiago – as well as an adopted child named Quia.
