Revenger Squad displaces other MMFF entries in many cinemas

- Many cinemas replaced 'Ang Larawan' and 'All of You' with 'Revenger Squad'

- Cinemas promised replaced movies will return on January 1, 2018

- Many are appealing for support of these movies

Fans of Derek Ramsay, Jennylyn Mercado, Paulo Avelino, and even that of Rachel Alejandro were saddened when many theaters replaced the artists' respective movies with "Revenger Squad."

On the other hand, Paulo, Rachel, along with Joanna Ampil star in "Ang Larawan."

"Ang Larawan" was removed from Trinoma, replaced with "Revenger Squad."

The same thing happened to "All of You" in SM Baguio.

While these movies may have been abruptly replaced, movie theaters promised them that they would be restored on January 1, 2018.

It is expected that after the results of the MMFF have been released, these "minority" movies will be able to make a comeback.

In fact, many artists have been rooting for these movies, especially for "Ang Larawan," deemed to reflect the Filipino culture.

Prominent among them is Lea Salonga, who from the very start was disgruntled when the said movie was taken down from various cinemas.

So far, "Ang Larawan" has won several awards in the MMFF.

The cast truly did a great job.

This year's Metro Mnila Film Festival is the 43rd festival.

The festival runs from December 25 up to New Year's Day.
