Newscaster Erwin Tulfo resigns from TV5 network
- Erwin Tulfo has announced his resignation from TV5
- He explained that he left the network in order to avoid fighting with his bosses
- The newscaster also announced that he has found a new TV network to work for
Newscaster and radio commentator Erwin Tulfo has resigned from TV5 after working for the Kapatid network for almost seven years already.
KAMI learned about his resignation from Bandera.Inquirer.net.
Tulfo announced his resignation on his Facebook account.
“Good morning mga Tol at mga Bes. Para po sa kabatiran ng lahat, AKO PO AY NAGPAALAM NA SA TV5 , ANG AKING NA-GING TAHANAN FOR 7 YEARS, SIMULA PA PO NOONG BIYERNES, A-30 NG HUNYO.
“Personal at propesyunal na kadahilanan ang a-king paglisan sa Kapatid network. Wala po akong sama ng loob sa management ng kumpanya lalo na sa may-ari nito na si Manny V. Pangilinan.
“Pero tulad sa isang pamilya, may mga bagay o pagkakataon na hindi pagkakaunawaan o pagkakaintindihan ng anak at ng mga magulang.
“At kung ikaw ay mabuting anak, sa halip na makipagtalo o makipagaway sa i-yong magulang…mas mabuti pang magpaalam ka na lang sa kanila at tahimik mo na lang lisanin ang inyong tahanan kaysa maging pabigat ka pa sa pamilya.”
“MAY BAGO NA PO AKONG TAHANAN… isang sikat na nationwide AM radio at isang kilalang TV network. Public service host po tayo sa radyo at newscaster naman sa television.”
Before his resignation, Tulfo got into a word war with TV5 newscaster Ed Lingao.
Netizens assumed that the misunderstanding with TV5, mentioned by Tulfo on his FB post, is directly connected to his word war with Lingao.
The Kapatid network has earlier released a statement regarding the rift between Lingao and Tulfo.
KAMI believes that time can heal all things and that the two journalists will be able to patch things up in the future.
