Pinoy shares his heartbreaking experience as a young father

A Filipino netizen became a viral sensation after he shared on social media the many difficulties he and his girlfriend faced after he got her pregnant.
KAMI learned about Jeijei Arabe’s shocking but inspiring story from his Facebook account.

He started his post with a statement about the many young men who leave behind their partners after getting them pregnant.
“Hi, Gusto ko lang i-share ang experience ko bilang isang ama. Oo mahirap kailangan mo ng paninindigan. Bibihira lang yata yung mga lalakeng may paninindigan. Yung iba parang basketball player lang eh. Pag nakashoot takbo na agad.”

Jeijei then spoke about the bashing, gossiping and criticisms that he and his partner received after people found out about the pregnancy.
“Simula nung nabuntis sya? Madaming nagbago. Chismis dito, chismis doon. Paninira dito, paninira doon. Bakit kaya ganon? Akala mo naman napakalinis nilang tao. Pinapakealaman nila ang buhay ng may buhay”

The young daddy explained that he really got hurt when he found out that some people were saying mean things about his young pregnant girlfriend.
“Pero yung mga bulong na ‘ang aga naman naglandi nito’ Diba parang ang sakit lang? Na wala naman silang alam para i-judge yung sitwasyon nyo. Pero wala naman akong magagawa dun dahil hindi ko naman makokontrol ang buhay ng ibang tao. Iniisip ko na lang minsan na ‘Porket ba maagang nabuntis eh malandi na?’”
He also urged couples who get pregnant at a young age to stand their ground, ignore the haters and protect their baby.
“Ano bang dapat gawin? Ipalaglag? Kapag pinanindigan mali pa din sa mata ng tao. Kapag ipinalaglag mali pa din. Ano bang dapat kapag buntis? Isa lang naman eh. Wag kang magpapadala sa mga chismis. Tulad namin. Pinanindigan naming dalawa na kahit maraming sinasabi yung iba eh wala pa din kaming pake sa kanila. Hindi masisira ng mga makakating bunganga nyo yung panindigan namin sa magiging anak namin… Basta eto lang ang masasabi ko. Sa mga nagbubuntis o nabuntis? Wag kayong magpapasira sa chismis.”
