Pinoy husband's Valentine's Day date with bedridden wife goes viral

During a wedding, a man and a woman promise to each other that they will stay until the very end. This husband in Caloocan is keeping his word to his bedridden wife.

ABS-CBN featured on TV Patrol a story about Rufino Guevarra and his wife Rose, who fell in love with each other and got married at a very young age.

The happy husband and wife were also able to give birth to four children.

Unfortunately, Rose acquired bronchial asthma and then fell into a comatose when her brain was deprived of oxygen during one incident.

The doctors asked Rufino if they could pull off the plug on Rose since she was only being kept alive by a machine. The husband refused and soon after, Rose was able to open her eyes and wake up.

However, Rose lost the ability to stand and walk after waking up and she has been bedridden for four years already, with her youngest daughter Oan taking care of her when Rufino is out working.

This past Valentine’s Day, Rufino bought some flowers, balloons and cake for her wife. He promised to stay with her until the very end, just like he promised to her during their wedding day.
