Motorcycle passenger dies in accident at intersection in Manila

Netizens were shocked and horrified by a recent CCTV footage showing a deadly accident involving a motorcycle and a car at an intersection in Sta. Mesa.

The footage shows the car crossing the intersection and then getting struck by a speeding motorcycle.

The male rider was severely injured while his female passenger was killed in the accident. Both of them were not wearing a helmet during the tragic incident.

According to reports, the traffic lights at that intersection have been having some technical glitches recently.

The rider’s relative shared some additional details on social media about the accident caught on CCTV.

“Pinsan ko nagdadrive ng motor, nasa hospital ngaun. Yung babaeng nagka angkas sa motor namatay. Birthday niya pa man din nung araw na yan,” he wrote.

(The motorcycle rider is my cousin and he is currently at the hospital. The female passenger died. It was her birthday when the accident happened.)

He also urged motorists to be extra cautious on the road in order to avoid accidents.
