Riding-in-tandem hold-uppers rob lending collector in Cebu

A shocking and terrifying CCTV footage of two hold-uppers on a motorcycle robbing a lending collector on the side of a street in Cebu has gone viral.

According to Cebu Daily News, the incident took place in Brgy. Tunghaan, Minglanilla, Cebu.
The viral footage shows the lending collector parking his motorcycle on the side of the street in order to collect money from a store.

Moments later, two men on a motorcycle made a full stop behind the collector’s bike. The passenger then got off the motorcycle and brought out his gun, pointing it at the collector.
He can then be seen getting cash from the victim and then riding off with his partner.

Netizens were horrified by the shocking CCTV footage.
“Nakakatakot talaga ngayon. Nasa city ka man o sa probinsya, maraming kawatan na nag aabang. Hindi lang drugs ang dapat pangtuunan ng mga pulis kundi maging ibang krimen,” a netizen wrote.
(It is really scary nowadays. Whether you are in the city or in the province, there are too many criminals waiting for their victims. The police should focus on other forms of criminality and not just on drugs.)
Other social media users also urged the local police to increase their presence even in remote areas.
