It was not easy for Manny Valencia before he achieved the life everyone dreams to have. He has gone through hardships just like any other but what makes him different is her determination and dedication.

Manny's family was not rich at all. His father was into gambling also because of their status in life and because of such, he and her 6 siblings parted ways because their parents cannot provide their needs.

Manny lived with his aunt who sent him to school. When he finished high school, he started working through selling candies and bread. He admitted that it was not easy for him and he felt angry when he learned that he had to live with his aunt.

He said in an interview:

“Medyo nagalit ako pero naintindihan ko din na mas mabuting doon na ako sa tiyahin ko kasi makakapag-aral ako kaysa nandoon kami sa amin. Tinanggap ko na din ang sitwasyon na kailangan namin maghiwa-hiwalay dahil sa hirap ng buhay.”

It was a recipe of longganisa he learned from a meat supplier who passed away that made everything turn upside down. When he met his wife Virgie and when they got married, they decided to put up a longganisa business with the cash worth P2,000 which they received as a gift on their wedding.

Their first attempt was not successful as the product did not taste good. Still, they tried and tried until they got the perfect recipe.
