A heartbreaking video showing a maid’s emotional goodbye to two children in Saudi Arabia before she goes home for a vacation has touched Filipino netizens nationwide.
“Pauwi para magbakasyon si ate pero itong eksena na ito ang nakakadurog talaga ng puso. Damang dama ng dalawang bata ang lungkot kapag nawalay si ate sa kanila,” the netizen who shared the video posted.
(The woman is about to go home to have a vacation but this scene is heartbreaking. The two children can really feel the sadness of being separated from her.)

According to some netizens, the maid is a Filipina who has learned to speak Arabic in order for her to serve her employers more efficiently and effectively.
Many netizens applauded the overseas Filipino workers who work as domestic helpers in foreign countries.

“Ang mga pinoy na kasama sa bahay ang syang tumatayong ina at ama ng mga batang kanilang inaalagaan,” a social media user commented.

Other social media users also raised awareness that there are still OFWs in Saudi Arabia who are being mistreated by their employers.
