Actor Mark Anthony Fernandez tests positive for marijuana

- Mark Anthony Fernandez who got captured on Monday for possession of marijuana has tested positive for using the weed

- The 37-year-old actor underwent drug test on Tuesday following his arrest in a police checkpoint in Pampanga

- Fernandez has undergone rehabilitation in the past for being drug dependent

The son of celebrities Alma Moreno and the late Rudy Fernandez appeared positive for using marijuana after a drug test on Tuesday, October 4. Nevertheless, Mark Anthony Fernandez who has been nabbed on Monday night for carrying about 1 kg of marijuana tested negative for shabu.

The actor went through a drug examination on Tuesday right after he got caught in Angeles City, Pampanga. Fernandez was captured by the police during a checkpoint in the said town.

When pressed where he obtained the illegal drugs, Fernandez refuses to admit everything that he knows and remained on his ground explaining that he has no idea on the matter.

Fernandez insisted that he does not have drug on him and that he was only about to purchase marijuana from a dealer, who was able to get away with the arrest.

The actor explained that he only used marijuana for him to prevent cancer.

Meanwhile, Jun Veneracion, a television news reporter for GMA Network, posted on Twitter a copy of the result of Fernandez' drug test.

Veneracion also shared on Tuesday a picture of the actor's yellow car as inspected by the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) officials.

Whatever will be the findings on the vehicle inspection as well as the result of the drug test will be used in the case against the 37-year-old actor.
