KC confirms she is still a Kapamilya despite showbiz hiatus

KC Concepcion’s angelic face has not graced TV screens for more than a year, except for old movie reruns that can be watched on cable TV.

Now, the daughter of megastar Sharon Cuneta and veteran actor Gabby Concepcion has finally revealed the real reason why she didn’t bother to have any of those much-coveted teleseryes or movies.

Well, KC is busy with her online shop. Yes, it would seem that everybody’s going online nowadays. For those thinking that her absence has anything to do with her boyfriend, Aly, well, it's not the case.

KC said that she is focusing all her efforts on her online shop, which might just be doing well considering that she didn’t bother herself with anything showbiz-related.

The 31-year-old actress said that she is “in a very happy place right now.”

“You know, almost one year and a half na di gumagawa ng teleserye or ng movie,” added KC.

Due to her absence, many wondered if KC is in the process of transferring to another network.

The actress was quick to deny it and said that she is still a Kapamilya. So her Kapamilya fans shouldn’t worry about her possibly jump-shipping.

KC even thanked her ABS-CBN boss who allowed her to have some time for herself.

“I want to grow in other businesses, which nagagawa ko ngayon (I’m able to do now). Secret pa sa ngayon (as of now),” said the Kapamilya actress.

While KC Concepcion is busy with her business, the actress gave a definitive confirmation that she does not have any plans of turning her back from showbiz.
