On Friday, October 16, Kris shared a carousel of photos on social media, offering glimpses into her life lately. The pictures showed aspects of her battle with autoimmune diseases, moments with her loved ones, and her recent projects.
In her lengthy caption, Kris explained why she had stopped sharing regular health updates. She admitted that she had been afraid to reveal the latest developments in her condition, including concerning medical results and symptoms from a new autoimmune disease.
"i have stopped giving you health updates because i’ve been afraid- there are not so great numbers and can you believe a new autoimmune disease that’s exhibiting scary symptoms. I finished all the work without ever revealing that immediately after i’d have an operation."

Kris also explained her decision not to respond publicly to the remarks that had drawn criticism. She shared that she followed the advice of a friend she admired for his wisdom and chose not to give the issue further attention.
"Many of you may have wondered why i gave no statement to what were irresponsible & uninformed opinions. A friend who i admire for his wisdom told me there are people i should learn not to give oxygen to, in other words ignore and the issue dies a natural death. By never stating their names, or my feelings, they didn’t get the word war from me they were expecting."
The actress then offered a glimpse into their home life, explaining how Josh helps care for her during her health struggles. She described their afternoon naps and the comforting gesture her eldest son makes when she needs to rest.
"I haven’t felt the need to share with you what happens in our home. But to set the record straight, kuya is with me during our afternoon siesta, although mine stretches to 4 hours. When he sees Bimb going to his computer, kuya knows it’s his shift. And he loves to say: Mama your shoulder’s here. I sleep best with my head resting on Kuya’s shoulder and my arms wrapped around his left arm. It’s difficult because he can’t move but Monday to Friday kuya josh does his share to take care of his mama."
Kris also thanked the doctors and nurses at Makati Medical Center for respecting her privacy throughout her treatment. She revealed that her sutures had not yet been removed and that she was preparing for her third infusion of a biologic immunosuppressant, which she said had helped her.
"I want to thank the doctors and nurses in Makati Medical Center who were so respectful of my privacy. The sutures aren’t out yet, but as soon as they are, time for my 3rd infusion of a biologic immunosuppressant that has helped."
The television personality expressed gratitude to those who continued to pray for her and send her words of encouragement. She also explained that her absence from social media sometimes means she is experiencing severe pain and needs to stay in bed for several days.
Kris also reflected on how witnessing her late mother's experiences helped prepare her for life's challenges. She expressed concern for her younger son, Bimby Aquino, who she said still needs more years to prepare for his lifelong responsibility of taking care of Josh.

"Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement. If i don’t post, i am in so much pain that i’m bedridden for 5 days, or if you don’t see reels- that’s the sign, i am in need of more prayers. I don’t want to ad to your burdens, i’ve read you admire my strength, that’s because i witnessed what our mom went through to prepare us, for life without her. I was 38 when she joined our maker. Bimb still needs more years to be ready for his lifelong responsibility of taking care of his kuya josh. That’s why ang mama nila hindi pa pwedeng isuko ang laban."
Her message ended with a declaration of her determination to continue fighting for her children despite her ongoing health struggles.
