Mavy confirmed that the incident happened after a director allegedly misunderstood a joke he made during a scene filmed near a swimming pool. The director reportedly believed that the young actor was indirectly referring to one of his co-stars, prompting a confrontation that Mavy said he had to handle on his own.
During the segment, Mavy introduced his statement by saying:
"Pinahiya ako ng isang direktor sa set kasi akala niya pinaringgan ko ang co-actor ko."

He said that the incident occurred during his first teleserye.
According to the actor, the co-star whom the director allegedly thought he was referring to is no longer active in show business.
Most members of the Geng Gang reportedly believed Mavy's account. However, comedian Divine Tetay initially expressed doubts about whether a director would treat him that way, considering his family background and personality.
"I don't think gagawin ng isang direktor 'yun. Like I mean kunwari, hindi porke't mga magulang niya talagang mga you know Carmina and Zoren. C'mon, this guy has a very wonderful soul," Divine explained.

Despite the initial skepticism, Mavy confirmed that his statement was true, leaving his parents visibly surprised by the revelation.
"Wait lang, totoo 'yan? How come you didn't tell us?" Carmina asked.
Carmina and Zoren were surprised to learn about the incident for the first time.
Mavy explained that he had decided not to involve his parents at the time and instead dealt with the situation independently.
"Cause I handled it on my own. Wow! Strong independent man!" he quipped.
Adding a humorous touch to an otherwise uncomfortable memory.
The actor then recalled the circumstances that led to the misunderstanding. He said they were filming a scene in a pool area when it suddenly began to rain. With the weather changing, he made a joke about taking advantage of the rain and going for a swim.
"Kasi nandoon na 'yung ulan e. 'O! Tara maligo na tayo. Nandito na tayo, e'" Mavy explained.
He added that the remark was inspired by a joke commonly made by the wardrobe team, rather than an attempt to make an indirect comment about another actor.
"Nasabi ko 'yun dahil 'yan 'yung jinojoke ng wardrobe."
However, the situation took an unexpected turn when the director allegedly summoned him to a tent and reprimanded him over the remark.
"'Wag mong gagawin 'yan! Alam ko 'yung sinasabi mo! May naamoy ka, no?" Mavy recalled the director telling him.
It was only then that Mavy realized the director had interpreted his joke as a possible reference to their fellow cast member. The actor clarified that he had not intended to insult or criticize anyone and was unaware of any rumors or discussions that might have influenced the director's interpretation.
Although the experience left an impression on him, Mavy chose to address the situation without immediately telling his parents. His revelation on the show therefore came as a surprise to Carmina and Zoren, who had apparently been unaware of what happened during their son's early acting career.
