The following morning, the victim’s mother decided to check the area where her son had gone to search.

She later found his body lying in the same vicinity. Investigators said the discovery provided no immediate signs of a struggle, but the injuries pointed to a violent attack.

Police Regional Office–Northern Mindanao Director, Major Joann Navarro, confirmed the nature of the wounds.

Navarro said, "May tama ng bala sa likurang bahagi ng ulo ang biktima."

She added in a separate statement that there was also a stab wound on the victim’s back.

Family members remain in shock as they cannot think of anyone who might have had a dispute with him.

They told authorities that he had no known enemies and lived a quiet life.

The police have yet to determine the motive behind the killing. Navarro said investigators are continuing their efforts to identify the culprit and gather more evidence.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as the probe into the crime moves forward.

In an earlier report from KAMI, a tragic incident unfolded in Barangay Mallorca, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija, where a family of three was brutally gunned down inside their small store. CCTV footage captured the horrifying moment when three armed men entered the establishment, pulled down the roll-up door, and shot the victims without mercy. Before escaping, one of the assailants grabbed a bag and a mobile phone belonging to the family. According to Gary De Leon of TV5 Frontline Pilipinas, the victims had been receiving threats after lending ₱1 million to a fellow resident, who allegedly used the borrowed money for business purposes.

In another widely shared report, a 51-year-old public school teacher in Las Piñas City was stabbed repeatedly by her own husband. EJ Gomez of Unang Balita stated that the attack happened inside the faculty room of the school. Authorities noted that the campus had a security guard on duty, but since the suspect was a familiar face, he was able to walk in and out without suspicion. The 38-year-old husband later told investigators that he went to the school intending to discuss their marital problems with his wife, but the conversation escalated into a violent confrontation that ended in tragedy.
